UC Capped Weighted GPA Calculator

The UC capped GPA, also known as the University of California capped Weighted GPA, is a specific way of calculating the grade point average for students applying to the University of California system. It is used in the admissions process to ensure a standardized measure of academic performance across applicants from different schools.

For sharing my knowledge, I just implemented a code to calculate it simply.

Note

• Only courses from the 10th and 11th grades should be included for 1) ~ 6).
• If your school provides Aeries, you can just exclude non CP Courses having no “P” mark in the transcripts. That means you should exclude courses having no “P” mark. It is usually not treated as UC-approved "a-g" courses.
• The Max UC Capped Weighted GPA will be 4.33, so you don't need to be frustrated by your GPA. The more class you take, the lower your capped GPA. What UC have interest is your rigorous course works, as far as I understand.
