National Student Clearinghouse (NSC)The University of Illinois has authorized the National Student Clearinghouse to provide official enrollment and degree verification information. Services Provided by NSC- Enrollment Verification: Available for all students currently in attendance.
- Access for Current Students: Domestic and international students can obtain a free enrollment verification directly from the NSC website.
- Authentication Required: NetID and password authentication are necessary to access this service.
- Degree Verification: Available for all degrees completed beginning in Fall 1982 or later.
Important Notes and Timelines- Loan Deferral Verification: Official verification for loan deferral purposes is typically available approximately five business days after the 10th day of the semester.
- Advanced Registration Certificates (Fall 2025 Example):
- Certificates for advanced registration, such as for Fall 2025, are expected to be available for download starting July 9, 2025.
- These certificates will remain accessible until the first day of the semester.
- Important Step: When obtaining an enrollment certificate for advanced registration, ensure you select the 'Advanced registration' option before proceeding.
NSC Contact Information Degree Verification Prior to Fall 1982For students who completed a degree prior to Fall 1982, verification requests must be directed to the Transcript Unit within the Office of the Registrar at the University of Illinois. Request Instructions- When submitting your request, please include your student UIN (University Identification Number), if available.
- Clearly indicate your preferred method for receiving the verification: mailed, emailed, or available for pickup at the office.
