If you don’t, you might receive an email from Google AdSense stating that your site didn’t meet their criteria. This email will tell you that your website needs to meet certain standards related to quality, compliance, and eligibility. The email will be like below:
In my case, I tried submitting to review my site from January 2024 and I haven't got the approval yet. There are many reasons why Google haven't approved it.
The below is what you can see when you access AdSense Site Dashboard if your site haven't approved.
To be approved for Google AdSense, your website or content must meet certain criteria related to quality, compliance, and eligibility. Here’s a breakdown of the key criteria:
1. Content Quality and Originality
Original Content: Your website must have unique, high-quality content. It should offer value to users and not be copied or duplicated from other sources.
Sufficient Content: Your site should have a substantial amount of content. A site with only a few pages or posts may not be approved.
Niche and Relevance: Having a clear niche or topic helps. Content should be relevant, well-organized, and easy to navigate.
Below is one thing you need to avoid as of 8/18/2024. You'd better avoid the global/political items in terms of content's point of view, because Google has various Advertises globally, so they don't want to make any issues.
2. Website Design and Navigation
User-Friendly Design: Your site should have a clean, professional design with easy navigation. Users should be able to find content easily.
Responsive Design: Your website should be mobile-friendly, as a significant portion of traffic comes from mobile devices.
Clear Navigation: Menus, links, and content should be structured logically, allowing users to easily find what they are looking for.
3. Compliance with AdSense Policies
Content Policies: Your site must comply with Google’s content policies, which include avoiding prohibited content like adult material, violent content, copyrighted material without permission, and misleading information.
No Invalid Traffic: Your site must not have any history of generating invalid traffic or clicks, as Google monitors traffic closely.
Privacy Policy: Having a clear privacy policy page is crucial. This informs users how you collect and use their data, which is a requirement by Google.
4. Domain Age and Ownership
Domain Age: While there’s no strict rule, it’s generally advisable that your domain be at least 6 months old. This gives Google confidence that your site is established.
Ownership: You should have full ownership of the domain. This means having control over the content and being able to make necessary changes.
5. Content Language
Supported Languages: AdSense supports many languages, but your content must be in one of the languages supported by AdSense.
6. Traffic and Engagement
Consistent Traffic: While there’s no minimum traffic requirement, having a steady flow of visitors can improve your chances of approval.
Engaged Audience: High user engagement, such as time spent on the site and low bounce rates, is favorable.
7. Legal Compliance
No Copyright Infringement: Ensure that your site doesn’t violate copyright laws, and that you have rights to all the content you publish.
No Fake Information: Content should be truthful and not misleading → This is sometimes painful area. Rarely Google make able to make a wrong judgement even though you created honest information. The best approach for this case is to erase/hide until you get the approval.
8. Ads Placement
Ad-Friendly Content: Your content should be suitable for all audiences, with no excessive profanity or adult themes.
Ad Placement Guidelines: Avoid placing ads in areas where they might be accidental clicks, such as too close to images or buttons.
Once your site meets these criteria, you can apply for AdSense through the AdSense website. After submission, Google will review your application and website. If your site meets the requirements, you'll be approved, and you can start displaying ads on your site.
