Health check for Basket Ball Activity during the summer vacation

In preparation for joining the basketball team at Northwood High School during the summer vacation, a mandatory health report was required by the school, aimed at ensuring the well-being of participants and being ready for any unexpected injuries during sports activities.

In my home country, Korea, the concept of needing a primary doctor or personal insurance for hospital visits was foreign due to the abundance of options provided by the national welfare system. However, upon moving to a new country and planning to engage in sports activities, such as basketball, it became evident that having a primary healthcare provider was essential to fulfill the school's requirements.

Upon visiting a doctor and their team for the mandatory health check, I found them to be welcoming and accommodating. However, the process and speed of the treatment were notably different from what I was accustomed to in Korea. The system and procedures were somewhat slower, prompting thoughts on areas that could be improved to streamline the process and make it more efficient.

The total duration for the health check exceeded three hours, a contrast to the expediency that could have been achieved in Korea, where a similar test and treatment would have taken less than an hour. This stark contrast in the time required for the health check underscored the differences in healthcare systems and processes between the two countries.
